This afternoon we went to the veterinarian. As usual, everyone there loved me. They especially seemed to like my overbite and ballerina paws. Humans are a strange breed. I also found out I'm overweight! It seems they have different standards out west, because I was told I could lose another pound, or at least half a pound. And the vet thought I might be part pug. An interesting development indeed. Here I am waiting patiently for the vet. Be honest. Does my butt look big here?

And here I am licking my lips after the tech gave me a treat. Look at all those treat containers. I don't think I'm too excited about this weight loss plan. Maybe Judes will start taking me on her 10K races. I sure hope that doesn't happen.

Happy last day of September, friends! A few shots of the sun arriving and departing for your enjoyment.

Happy fall, dear readers!

Judes told me fall looks kind of like this:

But that's in Pinedale, where Judes got this:

To clarify, she completed the 10K, not the half marathon. Here's what it looks like a bit closer to home; this is what I see:

And this is what Judes sees:

Last evening we went over to Green River, and saw this again:

I was pretty pleased, as you can see:

Happy weekend ya'll!

Hello friends!

Did you know that the bags Judes uses to pick up my poop have words on them? Judes thinks I can't read, but I'm playing along because I don't want her to start making me do work for her. Although, she knows I write this blog. Interesting...Anyway, the bags say, "junk from the trunk." How silly.

Can you believe Judes and I have already been here a month? I guess she's serious about staying here. Works for me. Although the wind is a bit unnecessary. Maybe that will go away in the winter. Or get significantly worse. One of those.

Judes has been taking me on lots of walks, which is fabulous. But she keeps going out and having fun without me, which is not fabulous. I've told her this, and barked to get dinner early to make up for her being so mean. All to no avail. Yesterday she did this:

Did I mention that I was not invited? She also hasn't taken me to any football games, or taken me out to dinner. Rude. So here I lay. So sad. At least we're in beautiful Wyoming, where I can stare at mountains all day. Things could be worse, I suppose.

Happy National Guacamole Day!

I think Judes is really pleased with me. She keeps calling me "grumpypants" and "jerk," which I can only assume are compliments. I guess she likes my new whining and barking every afternoon hours before dinnertime. I better keep it up!

There's been lots of rain and storms lately. I thought we were in the desert?! But it all works out, because here was our morning view. I couldn't hold the camera very well with my missing opposable thumbs, but this was a 180 degree masterpiece. And yes, you should be jealous.

Happy Rocky-Hashanah!

Happy Rocky-Hashanah to all my readers, near and far! Today I helped Judes cook. We made some veggie dip.

And kugel.

And chicken soup with matzah balls.

And apple cake.

I love Rocky-Hashanah. People came to visit ME and they gave me all their attention and lots of tummy rubs. And said how cute I am (especially for a chihuahua!).

And then Judes and I took a nice long walk.

Yep, it's still beautiful here. Good choice to move west Judes. I never doubted you for a minute.

Good evening readers. Sorry for a delay in posts. I have simply been having too much fun.

Whoops. That one is Judes having fun. Without me. She went here:

I had lots of fun without her though. Not really, I missed her terribly, but I won't admit it. Judes told me she saw lots of wildlife. Am I not wild enough? She must've felt bad for leaving me though, because she gave me some carrots.

I'm so excited to be back in her (MY) bed.

Judes promised never to leave me again. To make sure of this, I'm stealing her book.

Howdy!

Howdy folks!

Today, I was rather glum because Judes refused to feed me an hour before the appointed dinner time. So I was sad.

But then she mentioned "stroll," and I perked up.

And all was right with the world.

Also, I think Judes' carrot problem may be more dire than my own. At least they're only baby carrots, and not full grown ones.

Happy birthday Shoeshine!

Do not fret, dear friends, for I am still cute. Indeed, I have simply been busy lately. Or lazy. One of the two. Judes and I have been on several pleasant strolls. Hunting season has begun, which is probably why we saw fewer bunny rabbits today. I am also enjoying making Judes' bed my own while she is out and about. She'll never know.

Of special note, a very happy belated birthday to Shoeshine!! I personally recommend the adoption of a cat friend as a birthday celebration.
